Futura is a prototype of headphones inspired by cyberpunk aesthetic.
CONTEXT
Futura headphones is an answer for an assignment from product design department at Design Academy Eindhoven. The goal was to undergo a process of making an industrial product from scratch till functional prototype.
APPROACH
The process has started with creating visually strong mood-boards and researching ergonomic standards for headphones. Followingly, a series of sketches have been made to find a satysfing form and adapt it to prototyping possibilities of school’s workshop. After mock-up testing of several versions one has been chosen and prototyped using different techniques including 3d prining and aluminium milling.
